Getting to know me
A little bit about me
I am passionate about design and enjoy working and creating content for clients. I like to spend my free time going to the gym and knitting, I have also recently found my passion for gardening. I enjoy creating things for other people such as knitting, I found my passion for knitting during covid and have recently started knitting clothes for babies that I’m going to donate.
I have a passion for supporting not for profit organisations as I am actively involved with Special Olympics and Fragile X New Zealand. Creating for these organisations has given me a sense of joy as I have learnt about the barriers and the wonderful achievements of these wonderful organisations. My brother has Fragile X and (for those of you who don’t know Fragile X is a genetic disorder that affects about one in 3600 males and one in 5000 females- if you would like to know more check out the Fragile X NZ website) supporting him with his journey has been an amazing experience. I have witnessed first-hand, the expertise that Special Olympics has to provide recreation that is adapted to suit all disabled people.
Being a snowboarder myself, I understand the courage it takes and how challenging it can be to learn a new skill. Working alongside these not for profits who give their time and energy has been a privilege. Ensuring that their websites are up to date, informative and engaging is very important to me as the work they do in the community is just as important as any organisation in Dunedin.
